126' Christensen Emerald Isle Auction Aug. 24: RESULTS

At 11:00am on Tuesday morning was to be the auction of the 126' Christensen "Emerald Isle" presented by J.P. King. With a reserve price of $2.85M there were still questions on whether or not the reserve was too high to bring bidders. With a high reserve and a number of other issues on the table the end result was not good for the auction company. Not one bidder raised his paddle. The auctioneer started of at $4M and worked his way down when the audience remained silent. In fact they worked their way under the reserve to $2.25M and still no bidders. The auction quickly stopped and that was the end of it. The auctioneer made an announcement any further offers would be discussed in private.

After spending this afternoon previewing the boat I am pleased to say this could potentially be a good buy. She shows better than expected, especially in the interior.
